About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and optimize custom ABAP programs, BAdIs, User Exits, and Adobe Forms within a secure SAP GTS environment
Configure and customize SAP GTS for ITAR/EAR license management, Sanctioned Party List screening, and export/import controls
Develop and maintain secure ALE/IDoc, RFC, and API interfaces connecting SAP GTS with SAP S/4HANA and external federal/military customs systems
Ensure developments follow federal cybersecurity standards, data protection protocols, and defense-grade SDLCs
Collaborate with trade compliance officers, defense program managers, and security teams to translate regulations into automated technical solutions
Troubleshoot technical issues, apply SAP security patches, and support system upgrades in classified or restricted environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract constraints / active security clearance requirement indicated
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP GTS development experience
Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP, BAdIs, User Exits, IDocs, and RFCs
Experience with SAP GTS version 11.0 or GTS edition for SAP HANA
Aerospace & Defense or Federal contracting experience
Understanding of ITAR, EAR, and JSF or similar military-program compliance
Understanding of SAP GTS integration with SAP ERP/S/4HANA, particularly SD, MM, and PS modules
Experience with secure cloud environments such as AWS GovCloud or Microsoft Azure Government is preferred
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Defense & Security is preferred
SAP GTS Professional Certification is preferred
