About the role

  • Shadow experienced consultants during client projects
  • Support consultants on ISMS projects, e.g., coordinate or evaluate interview notes and documentation
  • Conduct surveys with clients regarding their ISMS to determine ISMS maturity levels
  • Assess, plan, implement and further develop the client’s ISMS
  • Develop and coordinate action items on the client side
  • Review, assess and improve client documentation
  • Coordinate project timelines for client engagements
  • Continuously improve external and internal processes
  • Conduct internal and external audits
  • Up to 40% travel required for on-site audits within Germany

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (e.g., in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field) or equivalent qualification
  • Willingness to learn and a desire to develop professionally in the area of information security for SMEs
  • Excellent communication skills for conducting interviews and engaging stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail to understand and improve complex client systems
  • Professional-level German and English skills (at least C1)
  • Collaborative and self-motivated working style
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in IT Security or Business Informatics, or at least 2 years of relevant practical experience in IT security, ISMS, or related fields (e.g., through internships or working-student positions)
  • Practical experience with ISO/IEC 27001 or other management systems
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and compliance standards
  • Any information security certification such as ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor and/or Lead Implementer, CISSP, CISM or similar certifications
