About the role
- Shadowing experienced consultants during client projects
- Supporting consultants on ISMS projects, e.g., coordinating or assessing interview notes and documentation
- Conducting client interviews regarding their ISMS to determine ISMS maturity levels
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and further developing clients' ISMS
- Developing and coordinating recommended action areas and remediation plans for clients
- Reviewing, evaluating, and improving client documentation
- Coordinating project timelines for client engagements
- Continuously improving external and internal processes
- Performing internal and external audits; willingness to travel up to 40% for on-site audits within Germany
Requirements
- University degree (e.g., business, computer science, engineering, or a related field) or equivalent qualification
- Eagerness to learn and a desire to develop professionally in the field of information security for SMEs
- Excellent communication skills for conducting interviews and engaging stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail to understand and improve complex client systems
- Professional German and English language skills (at least C1)
- Collaborative and self-motivated working style
- Preferred: Master’s degree in IT security or business informatics, or at least 2 years of concrete practical experience in IT security, ISMS, or related areas (e.g., through internships or working-student positions)
- Practical experience with ISO 27001 or other management systems
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks and compliance standards
- Any information security certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and/or Lead Implementer, CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications
