About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate company valuation models and supporting financial analyses
  • Review assumptions relating to revenue, margins, growth, cash flow, and capital costs
  • Assess valuation methodologies and identify modelling errors, inconsistent assumptions, and unsupported conclusions
  • Review investment theses, recommendations, and supporting research
  • Evaluate upside, downside, catalysts, investment risks, financial ratios, operating metrics, projections, and scenario analyses
  • Review sensitivity analyses and key financial assumptions
  • Evaluate debt, equity, financing, capital allocation, leverage, liquidity, cost of capital, and alternative capital structures
  • Review company and industry research, competitive positioning, market dynamics, and operating drivers
  • Evaluate portfolio construction, security selection, investment allocation, risk-return trade-offs, and portfolio implications
  • Compare alternative financial or investment responses side by side
  • Provide clear reasoning supporting evaluation decisions
  • Review analytical work products for financial accuracy and professional quality
  • Identify substantive modelling, valuation, investment, and reasoning weaknesses
  • Distinguish material analytical issues from minor presentation differences
  • Provide concise, evidence-based written feedback and apply evaluation standards consistently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in investment analysis, financial analysis, equity research, portfolio management, securities analysis, or a closely related field
  • Experience as an Investment Analyst, Financial Analyst, Equity Research Analyst, Portfolio Manager, Securities Analyst, or similar professional
  • Demonstrated experience conducting company valuations, quantitative financial analysis, or investment recommendations
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and capital structure
  • Experience analysing companies or investments for public or private institutions
  • Ability to evaluate investment recommendations from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives
  • Strong analytical judgement and attention to financial detail
  • Strong written English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and provide precise professional feedback
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
  • H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement
