About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review written content and AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, relevance, and professional quality
- Assess calculations, analyses, recommendations, and conclusions against sound mechanical engineering practice
- Identify incorrect assumptions, design errors, omitted constraints, and technical inconsistencies
- Answer mechanical engineering questions with clear, well-reasoned technical explanations
- Apply professional judgment to thermodynamics, HVAC, mechanical design, structural analysis, and manufacturing scenarios
- Provide corrections and supporting rationale where content requires improvement
- Review the application of engineering codes and standards, including ASME guidance
- Identify reliable technical references and assess whether cited methods, equations, and assumptions fit the relevant context
- Highlight safety, regulatory, technical, and procedural considerations
- Share insight into mechanical engineering workflows, documentation, and quality-control processes
- Evaluate content involving SolidWorks, ANSYS, AutoCAD, or comparable engineering tools

Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2 years of professional mechanical engineering experience
- Active Professional Engineer licence in the United States
- Degree in mechanical engineering from a recognised institution is required
- Experience in thermodynamics, HVAC, mechanical or structural design, manufacturing, or multiple mechanical engineering areas
- Strong familiarity with relevant engineering codes, technical standards, and professional documentation
- Practical experience using SolidWorks, ANSYS, AutoCAD, or similar engineering tools
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Strong written communication, technical reasoning, and attention to detail
- Reliable availability for approximately 10 hours per week
- Based in the United States
