About the role
- Manages the personnel and activities of the Accounting Team
- Develops and performs business analytics to support dynamic corporate product and service initiatives
- Monitors and performs the general ledger and monthly accounting close processes
- Works with team members to continue growing their skills and knowledge base
- Assures the timely reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts each month
- Produces monthly financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit
- Prepares annual tax package for tax firm and coordinates resulting state tax filings and payments
- Supports and provides financial and supporting schedules to the tax firm and coordinates state tax return mailings and payments as prepared by the tax firm
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
- Certified Public Accountant designation required
- Five years or more of related experience required
- Proficient in Excel tools and analysis of large volumes of Excel data
- NetSuite experience is helpful though not necessary
- State Tax / Compliance experience helpful
