  • Marking submitted evidence using a defined assessment plan and grading criteria
  • Making judgments about the apprentice’s knowledge and competence
  • Providing feedback and confirming grading
  • Attending standardisation meetings twice annually

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Recent, relevant experience in the marketing profession – working at or above the level of the apprenticeship you’ll be assessing (within the last 3 years, or with substantial, proven experience if earlier).
  • A relevant marketing qualification at least at the same level as the apprenticeship standard (or higher).
  • Strong understanding of marketing practice, with the credibility to assess apprentices fairly and consistently.
  • Highly organised
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Able to plan your own schedule and commit to agreed times/bookings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to attend two standardisation activities per year
  • Experience working as an Independent Assessor, coach or tutor (Desirable)
  • Grading experience (Desirable)
  • A good understanding of apprenticeship standards (Desirable)
  • Prevent and safeguarding training (Desirable)
  • Assessor/IQA qualifications (e.g. CAVA, TAQA, Award in Undertaking EPA, A1) (Desirable)
