Key responsibilities & impact

Lead how 1Password secures its cloud-native platform
Set the direction for infrastructure security and follow through on it
Own security across cloud infrastructure, identity and access, network and container environments, and AI-driven systems
Lead and develop a team of engineers
Partner closely with Security Operations and engineering leaders
Help raise the bar on secure systems design and build
Define clear goals and metrics to track progress and make decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years in security engineering, with at least 5 years leading teams
Strong understanding of AWS and modern cloud environments, including Kubernetes and infrastructure-level security controls.
Experience building or improving privileged access programs
Experience working on things like network segmentation, WAF, and zero-trust approaches at scale.
Understanding of security changes with AI and automated systems
Strong technical judgment
Experience building strong teams and supporting people’s growth
