About the role

  • Lead the web development team responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the 1Password web platform.
  • Guide a team of web developers in delivering fast, secure, accessible, and high-performing web experiences.
  • Plan, scope, and deliver high-impact web initiatives against our business goals.
  • Ensure stable, safe, and timely releases through strong QA practices, technical reviews, and operational discipline.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into clear engineering plans.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in web development engineering, with 2+ years managing engineers.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams that build scalable, performant, secure web experiences using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js) and CMS systems.
  • Strong technical foundation enabling effective code review, decision-making, and architectural oversight.
  • Experience driving predictable execution across sprints, releases, and large-scale web initiatives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders (Marketing, Design, Product, Growth).
  • Ability to create a healthy team environment with strong morale, trust, and professional development.
