About the role
- Enable developers to deeply integrate with 1Password to provide secure and superior product experiences, from terminal to infrastructure secrets to AI-related integrations
- Execute at a fast pace with a focus on developer experience, user experience, and partnerships in collaboration with Engineering, Design and Marketing peers
- Make trade-offs, anticipate staffing needs, risks, and ensure frequent and clear communication
- Evangelize 1Password amongst the developer community, representing at conferences, events, hackathons, etc.
- Define and deliver on a Developer Tools roadmap prioritizing strategic initiatives across Product, Partnerships, and GTM teams
- Interact significantly with customers and partners to determine key features for embedding AI and developer workflows into 1Password
- Represent 1Password at developer conferences, meetups, hackathons, etc.
- Define and deliver on a Developer infrastructure secrets strategy ensuring system reliability for business ambitions and global customer base
- Own features and experiments end-to-end, including writing product specs, driving cross-functional execution, making thoughtful product decisions, and sharing insights and results
- Accelerate shipping and learning pace while maintaining high quality and reliability for Developer Tools offerings
- Take rough themes and big ideas and turn them into a roadmap of features, experiments, and research with minimal guidance
- Partner with design and engineering teams to ship well-crafted developer interfaces in a highly iterative delivery approach
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager leading major product initiatives across Developer Tools, Integrations, and Web APIs
- Part time coder, at least as a hobbyist
- Familiarity and experience using modern AI vibe coding tools (e.g. Cursor, Lovable, etc.), as well as common agentic AI architectures and frameworks
- Technical / engineering background
- Track record of shipping and improving Developer Tools and driving business impact through the feature/product you owned
- Excellent communication skills, ability to convince internally and externally
- An action-bias that won’t wait to create change.
- Strong level of ownership with regards to product success. Own the launch and subsequent lifecycle of Developer Tools product from end-to-end
- Comfortable and confident in deep discussions with engineers about technical issues or challenges, and potential approaches or solutions
- Proven track record of leading multiple priorities simultaneously
- Familiarity with web standards, microservice architecture, immutable infrastructure
- A strong leader capable of mentoring junior product managers and engineers.
- Bonus points for a background in cybersecurity, compliance, identity access and management or secrets management, including protocols like OAuth, OIDC, etc.
