About the role

  • Independently develop AC concepts for PV systems, storage, charging infrastructure and energy management, including measurement, metering, protection and control concepts as well as direct marketing
  • Thorough understanding of applicable standards (VDE 4105 & 4110, grid operators' connection rules/TAB, etc.)
  • Selection of main components (control cabinets, AC collectors, routers, etc.) and handover to schematic/switchgear planning
  • Responsible for timely grid connection applications, confirmations and provision of certification documents
  • Approval of Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and ensuring declarations of conformity
  • Performing and reviewing cable calculations; reviewing plans produced by junior engineers
  • Technical site surveys, inspections and documentation of findings
  • Close collaboration with sales, project management and grid operators
  • Sharing expertise with junior colleagues and supporting the team on technical issues
  • Willingness to travel for site inspections and commissioning of your own projects

Requirements

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, qualification as a master electrician (Elektromeister) or comparable qualification (e.g., state-certified technician)
  • Several years of experience in AC planning for energy or photovoltaic systems
  • Solid knowledge of grid connection regulations, protection engineering and certification processes
  • Strong skills in cable sizing, AC component planning and technical documentation
  • Experience working with grid operators and customers
  • Structured, independent working style and high quality standards
  • Enthusiasm for knowledge transfer and mentoring junior colleagues
