About the role

  • Independent development of AC concepts for PV systems, energy storage, charging infrastructure and energy management, including metering, meter and protection and control concepts, as well as direct marketing
  • Thorough understanding of applicable standards (VDE 4105 & VDE 4110, grid operator connection rules / TAB, etc.)
  • Selection of main components (switchgear enclosures, AC combiner boxes, routers, etc.) and handover to electrical schematic/planning
  • Responsible for timely grid connection applications, approvals and provision of certification documents
  • Approval of single-line diagrams (SLDs) and ensuring declarations of conformity
  • Performing and checking cable calculations and reviewing plans prepared by junior staff
  • Technical site surveys, inspections and documentation of results
  • Close collaboration with sales, project management and grid operators
  • Transferring technical knowledge to junior colleagues and supporting the team with technical queries
  • Willingness to travel for site visits and commissioning of own projects

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical engineering, qualification as a master electrician or equivalent qualification (e.g., state-certified technician)
  • Several years of experience in AC planning for power or PV installations
  • Solid knowledge of grid connection guidelines, protection engineering and certification processes
  • Strong skills in cable sizing, AC component planning and technical documentation
  • Experience collaborating with grid operators and customers
  • Structured, independent working style and a strong commitment to quality
  • Enjoys sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance to junior colleagues
