About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Source high-potential startups across AI, SaaS, fintech, and emerging technology sectors.
  • Build relationships with founders, angel investors, accelerators, and startup communities.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry mapping.
  • Perform financial and commercial due diligence on investment opportunities.
  • Review pitch decks and prepare investment summaries.
  • Support investment committee meetings with research and recommendations.
  • Monitor portfolio companies and prepare performance updates.
  • Represent 16VC at startup events, demo days, and founder communities.
  • Help expand and maintain the firm's global deal pipeline.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate development, startup operations, or founder experience.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Passion for startups, innovation, and technology.
  • Ability to evaluate business models and market opportunities.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus but not required).
