About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the business-hours incident lead and Incident Commander during cyber events
- Validate and authorize SOC-recommended containment
- Coordinate IT, OT Engineering, OEMs, and leadership through incident resolution
- Run post-incident reviews
- Administer EDR (CrowdStrike Falcon), investigate and tune detections
- Drive risk-based vulnerability remediation with Infrastructure and OT, tracking SLAs
- Own secure remote vendor/OEM access and jump-box environments
- Maintain OT segmentation and firewall rules
- Coordinate remediation around production schedules
- Support secure architecture for PLC/HMI/SCADA and engineering workstations using ISA/IEC 62443
- Support Microsoft 365 / Entra ID security, Conditional Access, privileged access reviews, and MFA
- Review firewall rules, VPN, and network segmentation
- Support policy, security audits, NIST CSF, cyber insurance questionnaires, and security documentation
- Contribute to infrastructure projects, security architecture reviews, and vendor design reviews
- Work closely with IT Infrastructure, OT Engineering, OEM vendors, and leadership
- Report to the Director of IT
Requirements
What you’ll need- OT/industrial security fundamentals, including secure remote access, segmentation, PLC/HMI/SCADA, and ISA/IEC 62443
- Ability to lead technically during an incident
- Hands-on endpoint detection and response (EDR) and vulnerability management experience with comparable tools
- Cloud and identity security basics, including Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
- Strong communication across technical, plant, and executive audiences
- Manufacturing or food-production environment experience preferred
