• Develop and implement segment-specific credit strategies
• Strengthen governance frameworks
• Embed and standardise credit risk management practices
• Ownership of impairment forecasting for the PWB credit portfolio
• Development and maintenance of forward-looking portfolio scenarios
• Active monitoring of actual versus forecast impairments and capital consumption
• Partnership with Finance for alignment between risk forecasts and budgeting
• Support the definition and calibration of portfolio specific risk appetite metrics
• Ongoing monitoring of portfolio performance against approved limits
• Contribution to governance forums
• Support current MI capability
• Translate manual credit data into decision-ready insights
• Enable faster credit and portfolio decisions through aligned MI outputs
• Development of advanced portfolio analytics
• Provision of decision support for strategic initiatives

Portfolio Manager VP – Wealth Credit

• Conduct high priority investigations across all areas of the bank in South Africa and the Africa Regional Operations.
• Respond to requests for investigations from various sources, including EXCO members.
• Liaise with Head: Priority Investigations and Whistleblowing and mandate unit for investigations.
• Manage investigations on an end-to-end basis efficiently and effectively.
• Accountable for scoping investigation plans and quality of output.
• Manage teams effectively and portray professional competence.
