• Own and evolve the product roadmap for dispute lifecycle management spanning chargeback ingestion, representment decisioning, and pre-arbitration
• Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Analytics and operations to sharpen dispute decisioning models, build product improvements and optimizations by processor, reason code, and product vertical, and translate those insights into concrete roadmap bets that improve win rate and reduce losses.
• Drive the design and rollout of proactive dispute prevention capabilities including on-trip signal detection and early guest outreach working cross-functionally with Customer Support, Trust, and Operations to resolve guest issues before they escalate to a chargeback.
• Build scalable disputes infrastructure for new payment methods and product verticals and defining evidence frameworks as Airbnb scales.
• Collaborate with the Enforcements and Transaction Risk team to design and implement first party misuse detection and enforcement programs that deter repeat dispute abuse, balancing recovery goals with guest experience and marketplace integrity.

Staff Platform Manager, Payments Risk

• Develop and execute a comprehensive safety and risk management strategy for all corporate and franchise operations
• Establish safety standards, policies, procedures, and best practices that support operational excellence and risk reduction
• Create and manage company-wide safety scorecards, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems
• Lead initiatives designed to reduce workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, cargo claims, and insurance losses
• Foster a culture of accountability, leadership, and safety ownership across all levels of the organization
• Provide executive leadership with regular reporting and recommendations regarding safety trends, risks, and corrective actions
• Serve as the organization's primary authority on regulatory compliance and monitor regulatory changes
• Oversee the company's captive insurance programs and risk management initiatives
• Analyze workers' compensation, auto liability, general liability and cargo claims and implement proactive loss prevention strategies
• Develop and deliver safety certification programs for franchise owners and operational leaders
• Build and lead a high-performing safety and risk management function

Director of Safety and Risk Management

• Assist with and facilitate enterprise-wide Data Governance program activities and collaborates on strategic initiatives for data governance, data quality and metadata activities
• Supports Data Governance Council and Data Governance Committee, ensures execution of follow-up tasks assigned from the meetings, provides education and support for data governance across the organization
• Accountable for the analysis, development, and build of an Enterprise Data Catalog while also building related data lineage to directly support privacy, security, legal, and audit initiatives
• Designs and recommends data quality improvement opportunities
• Works with the business to develop and publish KPI’s as it relates to data quality and integrity for accessibility across all business areas
• Point of contact for and liaison between business Data Domain Owners, Data Stewards, and IT
• Work with Domain Owners to establish, maintain, and distribute definitions of data elements used by Analytics in conjunction with Domain Owners throughout the organization
• Leads analysis and remediation efforts for complex multi-domain data issues as identified by the business and Data Governance Committee
• Mentors junior team members
