• Prepare and process payroll using Procore, ADP and Netsuite, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while meeting payroll deadlines.
• Apply job costing accurately.
• Maintain and update employee payroll and HR records, process routine changes, interact with employees via email and phone to quickly and professionally resolve issues.
• Assist with benefits.
• Process garnishment requests, including child support.
• Support audits.
• Prepare and submit OCIP reports to our customers.
• Assist the Payroll Manager with payroll processing.
• Be a contributing member of the company back-office team.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the controller.

Payroll Specialist

• Lead end-to-end Workday Payroll implementations, including U.S. Payroll with Time Tracking, Scheduling, or Absence
• Own the full project lifecycle from discovery through deployment, architecting solutions and proactively identifying delivery risks to ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes
• Serve as a workstream and project lead, guiding cross-functional delivery teams through configuration, testing, and deployment
• Manage timelines, dependencies, and resources to maintain delivery excellence across multiple concurrent engagements
• Bring rigor to requirements definition and project scoping
• Proactively manage scope, mitigate risk, and uphold project boundaries to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery without compromising client relationships
• Build trusted client partnerships by translating complex Workday functionality into clear business outcomes
• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and provide strategic guidance that positions Armanino as a long-term advisory partner rather than a transactional vendor
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level consultants through hands-on coaching, delivery reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Strengthen team capability and confidence, enabling consultants to grow into independent project leaders
• Support pre-sales efforts by contributing to project scoping, proposals, and client presentations
• Provide ongoing support to Managed Services clients post go-live, including system optimization, audits, and enhancements

Workday Payroll Manager

• Own and process multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Manage payroll team (payroll, payroll taxes and payroll accounting)
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll transactions — earnings, deductions, garnishments, commissions, and equity compensation
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations; manage tax filings, year-end W-2s, and ACA reporting
• Partner with HR to ensure data integrity across HRIS and payroll systems; audit and reconcile records regularly
• Partner with all other departments to ensure payroll objectives are met and that payroll needs are addressed
• Manage team as they address payroll related questions and issues
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors and stay ahead of system updates or changes
• Build and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Review and help reconcile payroll accounting, journal entries, accruals, and audits
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate payroll processes as the company scales
• Stay current on legislative changes affecting payroll and proactively surface any compliance risks

Payroll Manager

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule in Workday, including regular cycles and off-cycle runs
• Reconcile payroll data prior to each processing cycle and proactively resolve discrepancies
• Monitor stock/equity transaction settlement dates and ensure timely tax deposit execution, including same-day when required
• Audit payroll results to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Execute and validate tax deposits through Workday and ADP SmartCompliance; escalate discrepancies with clear documentation
• Maintain payroll records in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements
• Leverage (or learn) AI-driven payroll tools, including Workday Payroll Agents, to support processing and audit workflows
• Monitor payroll tax thresholds and deadlines, including next-day deposit triggers
• Support year-end activities such as W-2 processing, ACA reporting, and payroll tax reconciliation
• Assist with audits and regulatory inquiries by preparing accurate payroll documentation
• Track and document key payroll timelines to support accountability and continuous improvement
• Partner with HR Business Partners and Total Rewards on compensation changes, new hire setup, terminations, and leave processing
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with clarity and professionalism
• Help document and standardize processes to reduce single points of failure
• Contribute to Workday enhancements and broader People Operations process improvements
