Paralegal

• Review, organize, and prepare legal documents and agreements
• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law
• Support attorneys with business inquiries, transactions, and special projects
• Evaluate legal process requests and identify relevant issues
• Maintain accurate document management and ensure compliance with legal standards

Paralegal 1

• Provide professional legal support to the Department of Legal Affairs ("DLA") attorneys generally and/or in a specific practice area or across practice areas.
• Responsible for the coordination, provision, and completion of various legal support tasks as requested by a supervising attorney or senior paralegal in support of Providence St. Joseph Health's various operations.
• Maintain corporate information in Providence’s entity management database.
• Assist with corporate filings and annual report filings.
• Provide support in corporate transactions and related matters.
• Draft and prepare a wide range of legal documents.
• Assist with healthcare operations and matters.
• Communicate directly and through correspondence with high level internal and external customers.

• Review and analyze claims file materials
• Prepare notebooks, indexing and comparing documents
• Create and maintain medical chronologies and billing summaries
• Responsible for all aspects of discovery, including preparing and serving discovery requests
• Summarize discovery responses and identify and obtain documents needed to complete discovery
• Prepare Subpoenas Duces Tecum and conduct investigation research
• Assist attorneys with exhibits, documents, and file preparation for deposition, arbitration, and/or trial
• Identify and understand client-specific billing guidelines

Litigation Paralegal

• Provide professional legal support to the Department of Legal Affairs ("DLA") litigation attorneys.
• Monitor and manage all aspects of investigations and litigation, in partnership with attorneys.
• Exercise independent judgment in determining and recommending courses of action based on matter type.
• Lead or participate in document review as necessary to support various legal matters.
• Independently utilize various platforms and document management systems used by DLA.
• Request needed documentation and information from business partners to ensure that the attorneys have all necessary information/material to complete their work/analysis/review.
• Require a high-level of communication intelligence and frequent interaction with DLA, business partners, outside counsel, third party vendors, and business associates.
