• Employ strong research, policy analysis, and writing skills to contribute to federal rulemaking documents, stakeholder and public comment reports, policy papers, and technical background documents.
• Draft, edit, and format federal agency rulemaking documents and develop/adapt style guides for new agency rulemakings.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction to project staff.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and working to develop long-term client relationships.
• Identify client needs and working with others to pursue regulatory support follow-on work or new business opportunities.
• Develop recommendations, and drafting reports and presentations.

Senior Federal Rulemaking Specialist

On-Call Senior Federal Rulemaking Specialist joining a multidisciplinary team to help federal agencies improve regulations and policies. Role includes research, analysis, and support on federal rulemaking documents.

• Perform field inspections as it relates to logging of borings and test pits, earthwork, shallow foundations, ground improvement and deep foundations (i.e., augercast piles, driven piles or drilled shafts)
• Prepare daily field inspection reports and ensure data sheets are accurate and up-to-date
• Oversee and document residential grout monitoring for sinkhole remediation projects
• Install and maintain seismograph vibration monitors and download data
• Assist with pre-construction conditions documentation
• Assist with preparation of monitoring reports
• Maintain field equipment; troubleshoot as necessary
• Perform other duties as requested
