Network Operations

• Provide end-to-end operational support for Cisco-based routing, switching, and related infrastructure across DFC’s enterprise network.
• Executed in alignment with DFC’s Zero Trust architecture—including identity-aware segmentation, continuous monitoring, and policy-based traffic controls—and integrated with ServiceNow ITSM processes for Incident Management, Change Management (ERB/CCB), and CMDB asset tracking
• Responsible for strategic oversight, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and optimized performance of Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and ISR/ASR platforms
• Leverage enterprise-grade network monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog) to continuously track Cisco device health, link utilization, and error conditions.
• Maintaining network availability and performance
• Minimizing service disruptions
• Proactively identifying risks or performance issue
• Ensuring secure access to enterprise resources
• Support firewall policy lifecycle management, ensuring policies are documented, approved, implemented, and reviewed in accordance with DFC security and governance requirements.
• Support impact analysis, testing, implementation, and post-change validation.
• Monitor firewall health, performance, and logs to detect security events, policy violations, and operational issues.
• Integrate with Zscaler services, identity controls, and Network Operations to enforce Zero Trust policies.

Network Operations Lead

• Ensure smooth functioning of the network for business needs and keep downtime to a negligible level
• Monitor the performance and capability of computer systems using diversified tools
• Act as the focal point for all incoming tickets for voice, data and Wi-Fi and triage the tickets as best as possible before assigning to the appropriate group if needed
• Implement call blocks when required in Telewall, EC500 in the new system, or SBC block
• Activate ports and validate port security on the OpenNet or ClassNet side
• Monitor third party portals (Avaya and AT&T)
• Monitor voice (EMI), Opennet, and ClassNet networks through the monitoring tools (Neuralstar, LiveNX, etc) and create tickets and assign to groups as needed
• Watch ticket queues to meet SLA requirements set and enforced by the ticketing system
• Determine the malfunctioning of hardware, software, and environmental alerts
• Work triage or troubleshoot the issues, within their defined areas
• Program phones as needed (system programmers) for all DoS work
• Create trouble tickets with the carriers for circuit issues
• Escalate outage information to ITOC front office and TWD government as needed
• Carefully track and document all defects and resolutions in detail
• Participate in Proposal Support functions due to expertise

Senior Network Operations Center Engineer

• Manage and supervise Voice, Data, and Video teams supporting SEC enterprise operations.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor work to meet schedule commitments and service expectations.
• Review technical deliverables for correctness, completeness, and adherence to user and design standards.
• Provide technical mentorship, performance oversight, and escalation support for network operations staff.
• Oversee administration of managed network and unified communications services across WAN, LAN, WLAN, voice, and conferencing networks.
• Direct operational activities to maintain network availability, performance, and service continuity in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Ensure network operational documentation is maintained, including SOPs, runbooks, and configuration artifacts.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and service providers to resolve telecom and network service issues.
• Provide technical leadership for integration and testing of complex, large-scale network solutions.
• Validate readiness of network changes, upgrades, and implementations before production deployment.
• Lead network incident triage, escalation coordination, and restoration efforts for service-impacting events.
