Legal Assistant

• Directly assisting an assigned group of local attorneys
• Providing global team support with a variety of administrative responsibilities
• Assisting lawyers with client intake tasks such as processing conflicts of interest and new business intake forms
• Monitoring lawyer time entries for compliance with firm standards
• Generating, editing, and posting client invoices ensuring firm and client defined standards are met
• Gathering and working to the preferences of assigned attorneys in executing tasks such as expense reimbursement, calendaring and scheduling, document management/edits, and travel arrangements
• Preserving the confidentiality of firm and client protected information
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Legal Secretary

• Support 2–3 trademark attorneys in all aspects of U.S. and international trademark prosecution, TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings, and trademark portfolio management
• Maintain and review trademark docketing systems for accuracy
• Assist attorneys with TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings
• Record daily time entries and assist attorneys with billing, proformas, invoices, and foreign associate billing
• Serve as a backup to other members of the Trademark Legal Support Team

Trademark Legal Assistant

• Provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Chief Legal Officer and other Executives
• Manage and maintain complex calendars for the Chief Legal Officer and other Executives as assigned
• Coordinate travel arrangements, including itineraries, logistics, and expense reporting
• Serve as a liaison between leadership and internal/external stakeholders
• Upload Board and Committee materials to Boardvantage
• Coordinate execution of legal documents and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain legal documents, files, and records with strict confidentiality
• Assist with compliance tracking, audits, and filings as needed
• Support cross-functional initiatives and projects
• Help manage department budgets, invoices, POs, and vendor relationships

Executive Assistant – Legal, HR, CMC

• Assisting attorneys and paralegals across the Legal department on a variety of legal projects aligned with both business needs and the intern’s areas of interest
• Conducting legal research and analysis to support ongoing matters and strategic initiatives
• Assisting with the review and drafting of basic agreements
• Supporting the preparation and review of patent and trademark filings
• Assisting with the review and preparation of distribution agreements and SEC submissions
• Researching an area of law relevant to Sarepta and drafting a comprehensive memorandum summarizing findings and recommendations
