• Oversee day-to-day operations across the geospatial division, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction
• Allocate resources effectively and support managers and team leaders with project planning and coordination

Senior Geospatial Manager

• Processing of forest lidar data collected by our field team, including co-registration of terrestrial laser scanning (TLS), and pre-processing of airborne laser scanning (ALS) data, using a mix of in-house and manufacturer (RIEGL, Applanix) software.
• Quality assurance of individual tree segmentation from TLS data.
• Rigorous, punctual and consistent backup of large lidar datasets, and working together with the lidar scientists, engineers and the field team for fast delivery of high-quality lidar products at scale.
• Continuously improving our lidar tech; keeping track of developments in science and industry.
• Supporting day-to-day coordination with external partners, with clear communication and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Occasional travel to join data collection missions, test new hardware or data acquisition protocols, and train the field team.

Lidar Technician

• Transform satellite, radar, and LiDAR signals into precise intelligence that protects forests and fortifies supply chains.
• Develop models ranging from EUDR-compliant plantation mapping, to biomass estimation and forest degradation that accelerate decarbonisation and in turn enable confident, risk-adjusted decisions at global scale.
• Design, train and evaluate models — from gradient boosting to CNNs, U-Nets and vision transformers — for commodity and plantation mapping, land-cover classification, change and disturbance detection, and biomass / canopy-height estimation.
• Build embedding-driven workflows on top of EO foundation models — few-shot classifiers, similarity search and downstream regressors.
• Design validation strategies that benchmark outputs against plot inventories and third-party reference data, quantify uncertainty and surface failure modes — producing QA artefacts (maps, plots, model cards, error analyses) that internal teams and clients can defend.
• Partner with Engineering to take models into scalable, reproducible inference pipelines across millions of plots.
• Contribute to a strong research culture across Science, AI and Engineering — reviewed code, shared tooling and active engagement with EO/ML literature.

Machine Learning Scientist – Remote Sensing

• Creation of monthly/quarterly dashboards or reporting packs for key stakeholders.
• Working to strict deadlines and service delivery KPIs.
• Collate, ingest and maintain key security, demand, risk and training data in our key systems, in real-time.
• Analysis and corrections of errors/exceptions, ensuring that key static data and dynamic data sets are accurate.
• Liaise with internal contributors, customers, operational and support teams to ensure any issues are resolved promptly.
• Assist in maintaining/tracking key initiatives and improvement projects.
