• Own the standards for how we develop, test, and release code across our web platform. You'll lead collaboration across multiple teams, establishing practices that keep our systems secure and reliable while raising the bar for code quality and usability across the organization.
• Build and evolve Afresh's Corporate Hub—the web platform that gives corporate stakeholders visibility into store-level ordering performance and centralized control over replenishment configurations, display policies, and ordering strategy at scale.
• Partner with Product, Design, Account Management, Support, Operations and peer engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions that serve client needs.
• Contribute to the vision of the next generation Ordering product and its supporting systems.
• Step into a mentorship role to guide junior/mid-level engineers, foster technical growth, and conduct thoughtful, constructive code reviews.

Senior Software Engineer, Frontend – React

• Implementing and deploying new pages and digital experiences across web platforms using CMS tools and structured markup.
• Ensuring the technical accuracy, responsiveness, and performance of all front-end builds, adhering to SEO best practices and web standards.
• Collaborating with design, content, and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective, well-structured web implementations.
• Managing and integrating digital assets within the CMS and technical repositories.
• Conducting rigorous cross-browser and device QA and validation of page builds prior to launch.
• Utilizing web analytics tools to monitor page performance metrics and identify technical areas for optimization.

Front-End Web, CMS Specialist

• Build, maintain, and ship frontend code across a portfolio of client sites

Front-End Web Engineer

• Ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of our applications’ backend services through production support, maintenance, and continuous improvement using Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.)
• Own investigation and resolution of complex production issues impacting customers
• Debug and resolve backend issues across Java services, APIs, and databases
• Deliver high-quality fixes via maintenance and patch releases
• Collaborate with customer support to triage, reproduce, and resolve escalated tickets
• Improve application observability using logging, monitoring, and metrics
• Reduce technical debt and improve system stability and performance
• Review code and mentor less-experienced engineers
• Improve tooling, documentation, and operational processes

Web Developer

• Own the mobile architecture blueprint—from client app layers to backend integration (APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns).
• Define standards and reference architectures for React Native/Flutter/Xamarin (or hybrid web-views, Capacitor) and native interoperability.
• Establish mobile domain models, API contracts, security controls, and data governance for mobile.
• Create roadmaps aligned with business OKRs, balancing innovation with platform stability.
• Lead architecture for new mobile initiatives: authentication flows, offline-first patterns, background sync, push notifications, deep linking, app configuration, and feature flagging.
• Design scalable backend integrations (API gateways, GraphQL/REST, caching, pub/sub), and select runtime patterns (BFF, façade services).
• Architect telemetry pipelines for observability (crash analytics, performance metrics, RUM, log aggregation).
• Implement Zero Trust principles for mobile; enforce secure storage, device attestation, jailbreak/root detection.
• Align with OWASP MASVS/MSTG, NIST, ISO 27001; ensure compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA/PCI as applicable).
• Define CI/CD pipelines for mobile (Fastlane, Bitrise, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CircleCI), code signing, release orchestration.
• Standardize testing strategy: unit/UI/e2e, device farms, accessibility, performance, and compatibility testing.
• Architect for offline resilience, concurrency, graceful degradation, and efficient network usage.
