Financial Crime

• Own all AML/CFT operations: KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and the end-to-end investigation and escalation process
• Build the AML operational team from zero — define the hiring roadmap, onboard KYC and TM Specialists, and set quality standards
• Drive operational AML performance: monitor KPIs, manage alert backlogs, track quality metrics, and implement corrective actions with speed
• Shape and tune AML systems in partnership with IT and product: threshold calibration, alert optimisation, and workflow improvements that reduce noise and catch what matters
• Ensure Aspora's AML/CFT record-keeping, audit readiness, and regulatory responsiveness meet BoL requirements at all times.

AML Manager

• Works together with others in the Baltic AFC team, supporting business and participating in development activities
• Handles sanctions screening alerts
• Handles stopped payments
• Delivers high quality Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews and customer analyses (including CDD, OEDD and PEP reviews)
• Monitors high-risk customers’ payments, analyses customer activities, patterns, and behaviour
• Takes responsibility for Customer Onboarding process from AML perspective
• Compiles Customer risk analysis, on boarding memo, evaluating possible ML/TF risks, and manual customer risk classification
• Participates in improving internal processes related to AML and KYC
• Co-operates with OP Group AFC and AML compliance organizations
• Substitutes KYC specialist when needed

Junior Anti-Financial Crime Specialist

• Conduct ongoing transaction monitoring to ensure the business is protected from financial crime.
• Conduct investigations into customer accounts and file suspicious activity reports to the relevant FIU and regulatory authorities.
• Investigate and report illicit activity to domestic and international law enforcement agencies and respond to incoming requests from external partners.
• Handle fraudulent and otherwise suspicious activity escalations from the wider Uphold team and from external parties such as banking and industry partners.
• Help us improve our transaction monitoring rules and suspicious activity escalation procedures.
• Helping with the development of new systems to improve efficiency.
• Dig deep into data and identify trends with the aim to prevent future malicious activity.
• Keep up to date with new laws and regulations that may affect Uphold and evaluate and advise on the impact of the changes.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
