Electrical Engineer

• Architect, lead, and deliver state-of-the-art avionics, electrical weapon interfaces, and custom/COTS Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) for missile systems, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and fieldable launch platforms
• Support complex system co-designs utilizing high-performance Xilinx/AMD Zynq SoCs, Altera FPGAs, soft-core processors (MicroBlaze), and complex network architectures (bare-metal, RTOS-based, UDP/IP stacks, and Weapon Open System Architecture/WOSA messaging frameworks)
• Oversee complex Multi-Layer Power Distribution Network (PDN) definitions, multi-rail low-noise regulation circuits, rigid-flex PCBA layouts, and high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe, multi-Gbps transceivers, ADCs/DACs, and RF modems)
• Direct multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for electronics, cabling, grounding, and bonding
• Act as the primary internal technical authority, hosting weekly technical interchange meetings with external subcontractors to maintain design consistency
• Partner with systems engineering teams to translate military standards into rigorous hardware requirements
• Support Control Account Managers (CAMs) by providing precise technical write-ups, work breakdowns, and schedule estimates for Earned Value Management (EVM), CapEx initiatives, and major competitive proposals
• Act as a certified test conductor or lead verification engineer to establish comprehensive system-level test plans, environmental stress screening, HWIL integration, and launch-readiness countdown actions

• Design power system facilities and equipment and coordinate construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power generating, receiving, and distribution stations, and distribution systems and equipment
• Develop conceptual layouts and sketches to drive the most efficient design on a project-by-project basis
• Participate in the planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of electrical engineering projects
• Develop equipment specifications
• Develop construction specifications and contractor scope of work documents
• Directs preparation of or prepares drawings and specific type of equipment and materials to be used, in construction and equipment installation
• Inspects completed installations for conformance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards
• Work products will include: one-line diagrams, wiring drawings, panel layout drawings, motor schematics, instrument loop sheets, conduit and tray routing drawings and contractor scope documents
• Work with systems and equipment grounding requirements (high resistance, building and isolated grounding)
• Provide on-site start up support

• Lead a team of engineers and manage client relationships
• Select and specify substation equipment
• Develop physical electrical design submittals
• Prepare equipment specifications, bid evaluations, and procurement recommendations

Lead Physical Electrical Engineer

• Support the engineering team on Aligned’s technical topics and matters
• Work directly with the internal and external design teams to ensure technical compliance
• Play a crucial role in responsibilities ranging from early stage design direction to yearly site assessments and evaluating next level technologies
• Raise Aligned’s technical capabilities and enhance performance across multiple work streams
• Review and support for electrical technical standards and updates
• Review and support for each phase of design deliverables
• Assist content preparation and presentation to achieve business approvals
• Support conceptual/directional design decisions at inception
• Review and support for major equipment product commitments
• Review and support for commissioning scripts and procedures
• Assist with technical investigations and problem solving
• Technical support for site performance shortfalls, failures, and issue resolution

• Carry out circuit design and PCB layout while following relevant design standards.
• Define, plan, and coordinate development, product qualification, safety, and regulatory-compliance testing.

Senior Electrical Engineer – Hardware

• Design 480VAC power distribution systems, heavy-load feeders, and large-facility electrical layouts
• Specify and design electrical and controls systems for industrial blasting and coating facilities
• Produce schematics, panel layouts, and detailed electrical documentation in AutoCAD
• Ensure all designs meet NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and other compliance requirements
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and SMEs to integrate electrical systems into overall facility design
• Support procurement and vendors to ensure components meet standards and specifications
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at project sites
