Editor

• Serve as a senior writer and editor across various content formats
• Act as the team's day-to-day guardian of brand voice and tone
• Ensure adherence to the Dechert writing style guide
• Proofread, copyedit and edit work produced by partners and colleagues
• Develop audience-first content that aligns with communication goals
• Collaborate with attorneys, practice group leaders, and marketing colleagues
• Own the triage and routing of incoming content requests
• Monitor content for consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment

Manager, Editorial

• Assist in developing and refining story ideas, coordinating pitches, assigning articles, and editing drafts
• Manage editorial calendars, track drafts and revisions, and maintain efficient production workflows
• Collaborate closely with Cato’s design, marketing, and digital teams on layout, visuals, promotion, and distribution
• Help drive the magazine’s outreach strategy—amplifying stories, engaging new audiences, and strengthening reader relationships
• Contribute to long-term editorial planning and the evolution of the magazine as it grows

Associate Editor

• Conduct research for executive responses and staff actions
• Draft and edit reports, briefings, and correspondence
• Perform fact-checking and ensure document accuracy
• Maintain document repositories and archives

Editor, Researcher

• Invite, edit, and publish Perspectives every week in Science
• Handle the peer-review of “stand alone” Perspectives
• Handle Expert Voices columns and possibly other opinion pieces
• Work with social and multimedia teams for communicating scientific concepts
• Network with the scientific community and identify topics and authors for Perspectives
• Contribute to other parts of the magazine including special issues and “In Other Journals.”
