• Build and scale backend platforms that power AI agents and MCP servers across Spotify
• Design reliable infrastructure for orchestration, lifecycle management, monitoring, and deployment of AI-powered systems
• Define platform standards, tooling, and best practices that support secure, scalable, and high-quality agent development
• Develop evaluation frameworks including automated testing pipelines, benchmarks, and quality metrics for AI systems

Senior Backend Engineer – Platform Developer Experience

• At Temporal, you’ll work with cloud-native, highly scalable infrastructure spanning AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and microservices. You’ll gain deep expertise in distributed systems orchestration, networking, and observability while learning from complex, real-world customer use cases.

• You'll develop and troubleshoot implementation patterns (use cases, SDK options, code reviews), observability solutions (Grafana, Prometheus), networking issues (load balancing, DNS, ingress/egress), and infrastructure operations (Terraform, IaC) to help customers run Temporal efficiently at scale.
• Once ramped up, we expect you to independently drive technical solutions, whether debugging complex production issues or designing best practices. Don't worry—we have seasoned engineers and mentors to support you along the way!
• Be a great communicator:
• As a Senior Developer Success Engineer you will engage directly with developers, engineering teams, and product teams to understand distributed systems challenges and provide solutions that enhance scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Your insights will influence platform improvements, from enhancing observability tooling to developing self-service solutions that simplify troubleshooting (e.g., building diagnostic tools similar to Twilio’s Network Test).
• You’ll serve as a bridge between developers and Temporal engineering, ensuring that reliability, performance, and developer experience remain top priorities as Temporal scales.

Senior Developer Success Engineer

• Create screencasts, product walkthroughs, and video demos that show SuperPlane in action.
• Build working use cases and turn them into blog posts, tutorials, and guides.
• Be SuperPlane's voice in our Discord, on Reddit, Hacker News, and relevant DevOps Slack groups.
• Represent SuperPlane at conferences or meetups a few times per year.

DevRel – Content Creator

• Design, build, and maintain Arbor’s Internal Developer Platform (IDP), providing self-service tooling, consistent build pipelines, and standardised deployment workflows.
• Develop project scaffolding and templates that allow engineers to rapidly bootstrap new services with best practices built in.
• Integrate core engineering systems (CI/CD, observability, service catalogue, documentation) to provide a joined-up developer experience.
• Collaborate with the Platform Engineering and DevSecOps teams to ensure the IDP embeds security scanning, dependency management, and compliance controls by default.
• Embed AI-assisted tooling (e.g. Claude Code, Codex etc) into the developer workflow.
• Partner with the Head of Developer Productivity to define and measure AI efficiency metrics.
• Develop plugins, workflows, or integrations that help engineers use AI tools safely and effectively.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI onboarding, training, and developer enablement.
• Consolidate and rationalise the engineering toolchain, ensuring consistency across teams.
• Build automations and command-line utilities to streamline repetitive development tasks.
• Maintain and improve shared build/test/deploy templates and scripts.
• Collaborate with teams to identify pain points in the development lifecycle and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to build and maintain reusable secure coding templates, CI/CD guardrails, and compliance checks.
• Contribute to the collection and reporting of developer productivity data (e.g. build times, PR cycle times, deployment frequency).
• Support automation and observability for key developer metrics.
• Participate in post-implementation reviews to quantify the impact of new tooling or process changes.

Developer Experience Engineer – DevEx

• Define and guide the architecture of internal developer tools and services, specifically assessing, integrating, and maintaining AI-powered tools (e.g., agents, agentic environments, coding assistants, diagnostic tools), balancing trade-offs between speed of development, reliability, and maintainability to meet engineering efficiency goals.
• Own and evolve the organisation's agentic AI working practices across R&D — defining standard skills, instructions, agent configurations, and interaction patterns that enable every engineer to work effectively with AI tooling.
• Champion developer productivity by identifying and addressing pain points in the development lifecycle. Measure key internal metrics (e.g., build times, deployment cycle time) and drive continuous improvement in developer workflows and tooling.
• Drive automation initiatives, leveraging agentic AI and machine learning techniques, across the team to streamline developer onboarding, reduce cognitive load, and eliminate development environment toil.
• Define and uphold developer experience standards, promote clear documentation, and work with teams to ensure seamless adoption of new technologies and best practices.
• Lead technical estimation and feasibility assessments for DX initiatives, ensuring plans are realistic and aligned with team capacity.
• Mentor and coach engineers through constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and motivation. Foster alignment and help the team galvanise around technical solutions and goals.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other engineers to gather feedback, understand developer pain points, and align technical direction with product strategy.

Technical Lead – Developer Experience, DevEx

• Improve the inner development loop (local dev, build, test) for fast, reliable feedback
• Integrate and advance AI across the SDLC (coding, testing, documentation, workflows)
• Improve developer experience around CI/CD collaboration with CloudDX
• Identify and eliminate friction across the developer journey
• Build and evolve self-service tooling and internal platforms (DX/IDP)
• Establish and improve developer productivity metrics and engineering insights (e.g., DORA, DX)
• Enable engineering scalability through better tooling, shared libraries, standards, and automation
• Partner across teams to improve developer experience without blocking autonomy

Staff Software Engineer – Core Developer Experience, DevEx

• Partner with engineering teams to help them adopt new platforms and ways of working
• Support the rollout of tools like CI/CD pipelines and observability platforms
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and shape adoption plans
• Contribute to building internal tools that improve developer workflows
• Help document and communicate best practices across engineering
• Work closely with senior engineers to learn, grow and deliver impact
• Play an active role in improving how engineering works across the organisation
