DevOps Engineer

• Augments CBO engineering team to extend infrastructure automation and secure delivery in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Maintains/extends Terraform & OpenTofu IaC (modular configs, remote state).
• Develops Ansible playbooks/roles (CaC, patching, compliance).
• Builds GitHub Actions CI/CD with security gates (SAST, dependency/secrets scanning, policy-as-code).
• Manages Docker image hardening and Kubernetes/Helm orchestration with vulnerability scanning.
• Integrates Shift-Left security and CIS/CBO baselines.
• Inherits existing patterns (no design-from-scratch); works within CBO change advisory, version control, peer review.

DevSecOps Engineer

• Performing day-to-day operational/DevOps tasks on Wikimedia’s public facing infrastructure (deployment, maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting)
• Implementing and utilizing configuration management and deployment tools (Puppet, Kubernetes)
• Leading continuous improvement, by automating the installation, configuration and maintenance of services on our platform
• Working closely with product teams helping them bring scalable functionality to our users by assisting in the architectural design of new services and making them operate at scale
• Participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation shared across the broader SRE team. This includes taking part in incident response, diagnosis and follow-up on system outages or alerts across Wikimedia’s production infrastructure.
• Collaborating with a global, cross-functional team in an asynchronous communication environment
• Mentoring peers in your areas of technical and operational strength

Senior Site Reliability Engineer

• Designing and managing cloud environments and creating modern automation tools
• Building and deploying continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
• Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and security strategies
• Supporting the delivery of quality code that adheres to standards and methodologies
• Performing incident management and root cause analysis, and leveraging observability tools
• Managing periodic progress reporting

• Define and evolve build and deployment pipelines for secure, reliable production releases
• Lead the design and operation of pre‑production and production cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security
• Partner with Engineering teams to improve release flow from development to test and production
• Define and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices
• Lead complex troubleshooting efforts, root cause analysis, and drive systemic post‑incident improvements
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new infrastructure technologies and services
• Ensure platforms meet or exceed healthcare security and compliance standards
• Establish and drive adoption of SRE best practices (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, reliability engineering standards)
• Serve as a technical leader and advisor across Service Reliability, DevOps, and engineering teams
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and guidance on best practices
• Influence system design and architectural decisions to improve scalability and resiliency
• Partner with teams to prioritize reliability initiatives and reduce operational risk
• Contribute to defining engineering standards, best practices, and operational runbooks
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, reliability, and continuous improvement

Principal Service Reliability Engineer

• Performing day-to-day operational/DevOps tasks on Wikimedia’s public facing infrastructure (deployment, maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting)

Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure Foundations

• Monitor and resolve application and customer issues in production
• Support the automation of recurring issues and issues that need manual intervention
• Identify and implement process improvement to reduce time to resolve support tickets
• Create dashboards and solutions to pro-actively identify issues
• Reduce human errors, increase quality and security through automation
• Troubleshoot alerts and escalated issues
• Engage in and improve services from deployment, operation, through refinement
• Maintain production environments by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
• Scale systems sustainably through automation
• Evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability
• Practice sustainable incident response and disaster recovery exercises
• Create and improve documentation and runbooks

Cloud Operations Engineer

• Own and define build and deployment pipelines for secure, reliable production releases

• Define and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements
• Provide day-to-day guidance, technical direction, and mentorship for team members
