Database Administrator

• Assist in managing AWS RDS instances by monitoring database health, identifying performance issues, and participating in root-cause investigations
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 database availability and rapid response to production incidents across our global infrastructure
• Execute quarterly patching, monthly index reviews, and backup integrity testing within a live production environment
• Advance your T-SQL knowledge by participating in code reviews and assisting Developer and TechOps teams with query optimization and execution
• Utilize Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to build or maintain automation tools (e.g., AWS Lambdas, GitHub Action workflows, etc.)
• Manage user permissions, SOPs, and disaster recovery runbooks while helping ensure regulatory framework compliance (including HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2) across all database systems

Junior Database Administrator

• Analyzes, designs, creates, and implements databases including access methods, device allocations, validating checks, organization, and security
• Designs data models and physical databases, data dictionaries, and schemas
• Executes the installation, upgrades and tests of database software
• Develops and implements strategic database recovery plans and procedures
• Troubleshoots and resolves database issues effectively
• Monitors database environment to ensure ongoing efficiency
• Researches new technologies and advises senior leadership on the changing environment
• Manages and coordinates multiple projects
• Collaborates across Technology, Operations, Digital, and Data (TODD) to strengthen risk management, compliance, and cyber security
