• Lead ORCA's comprehensive school counseling program and Counseling Team
• Ensure every student in grades K–12 has access to a coordinated, data-informed, and equitable program
• Design and oversee systems for graduation planning, course selection, crisis prevention and intervention
• Use student outcome data to drive continuous program improvement

Manager, Student Success and Counseling Services

• Conduct intake assessments to evaluate Member readiness and determine appropriate level of care
• Facilitate group and one-on-one counseling sessions using Affect’s evidence-based curriculum
• Provide crisis support and coordinate appropriate referrals when needed
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors on individualized treatment and discharge planning
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all relevant state regulations
• Applicants must be licensed in their respective state, and all credentials must be verified through the State Board’s website as part of the application process

Addiction Counselor – Telehealth

• Collects, reviews and interprets family/medical histories, medical records, test results, and other relevant/necessary information.
• Coordinates testing and communicates results to patient and referring healthcare provider.
• Develops genetic counseling plans, including risk assessment, referrals, education, life planning options, and treatment options.
• Provides counseling and education to patients and their families. Identifies and provides referrals for testing, treatment, support, and advocacy.
• Participates in multidisciplinary tumor boards as needed.
• Researches, maintains, and applies knowledge of trends and developments in genetic disease research, testing, and treatment.
• Helps with triaging and scheduling of genetic counseling referrals as needed.

Oncology Genetic Counselor – PRN

• Supervise all counselors
• Ensure the academic success of individual students by utilizing all levels of academic support available
• Maintain a high level of communication with parents to deliver program information
• Assist families in need of additional support to prevent unnecessary withdrawals
• Handle any student problems escalated by parents and teachers
• Develop, plan and implement counseling programs for students and families
• Oversee and maintain the Personal Learning Plan (PLP) of each student
• Counsel students with issues related to dropping courses and changing schedules
• Supervise the review of student transcripts and the entry of credits into the online transcript system
• Generate and authorize official transcripts for families upon request

Manager of Counseling

• Promote student success through preventive services
• Plan for postsecondary options
• Manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills
• Deliver classroom instruction based on student success standards
• Provide short-term counseling and referrals for long-term support

School Counselor

• Determine retirement eligibility and benefits, specifically disability eligibility
• Provide information to members, beneficiaries, alternate payees, and employers on rights and benefits
• Analyze complex medical documentation to determine and recommend disability eligibility
• Work closely with internal Medical Advisor and external Medical Staff
• Recommend continuation or discontinuation of disability benefits based on medical documentation and employment review
• Create individualized complex letters detailing review of a disability claim; quoting proper ORS and OAR that supports determination
• Effectively communicate by phone to members, detailing complex and sensitive information
