• Maintain existing and develop new curriculum in Social Studies for grades K–12
• Write, review, and revise curriculum and assessments to improve accuracy, alignment, and customer satisfaction
• Communicate effectively with content development team and product development members
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of curriculum development user stories
• Consult with and support teachers in the creation and implementation of curriculum

• Collaborate with the social and content teams on campaign tie-ins
• Track video performance metrics and iterate on what drives views and followers
• Repurpose top-performing content for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts

Content Creator, TikTok

• Communicate effectively with content development team, product development cross-functional agile team members, and members of product management
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of curriculum development user stories
• Consult with and support teachers in the creation and implementation of curriculum
• Contribute to ELA K-12 course development, which consists of course maps, learning objectives, learning objects, and activities to meet specific state and/or national standards
• Develop and revise K-5 ELA curriculum and assessments aligned to research-based literacy instruction
• Apply knowledge of the Science of Reading to evaluate instructional materials, ensuring alignment to evidence-based practices and state literacy expectations
• Works with a cross-functional Agile team to complete projects and features
• Works with the Product Development managers to ensure the development of high-quality curricula and resources
• Proposes and implements new ways of working or procedures within own area
• Negotiates resources within the team and may negotiate across teams to agree on common objectives
• Maintains effective relationships within own and related areas

Content Developer, English Language Arts

• Own day-to-day content strategy and creation for LinkedIn and YouTube, with opportunities to expand into additional platforms over time
• Create platform-native content, including short-form video and visuals
• Develop a recognizable and consistent brand presence across social channels
• Monitor engagement and performance, using insights to refine content direction
• Support executive social media strategy and employee advocacy
• Create engaging, agile, and high-impact video content across channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, short-form clips, behind-the-scenes, storytelling formats)
• Partner with the broader Marketing team to execute webinars, consulting on webinar concepts and formats
• Develop post-event content strategies that extend the impact of each session well beyond the live moment, including repurposed assets across social, email, blog, and web
• Help refine and evolve how the Blackthorn brand shows up through content and media across owned channels
• Translate company strategy, product value, and customer insight into clear, compelling narratives
• Bring forward creative ideas, content series, and new formats — and test what resonates
