Civil Engineer

• The Civil Engineer will play a key technical role in project delivery, applying their expertise in civil engineering design and modelling to develop high-quality solutions.
• This role involves designing roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services, water and sewer systems, and pavements whilst collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and NZ-based stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and accurately.
• Design of stormwater systems including catchment delineation, pipe network design, stormwater management devices and scour protection.
• Design and 3D modelling of site levels on development sites considering overland flow paths, cut & fill earthworks balance, minimum falls for drainage and maximum gradients for accessibility.
• Design and coordination of utilities along congested corridors and collaborating with network utility operators.
• Preparation of technical reports outlining the design principles, key project risks and any departures from standards.
• Coordination and collaboration of other disciplines to achieve project outcomes.

Civil Engineer – Land Infrastructure

• Assist with structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and ancillary structures
• Prepare design calculations for gravity loads, live loads, wind, seismic, and thermal effects
• Contribute to conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design packages
• Perform quantity take‑offs and assist in bill of quantities (BOQ) preparation
• Support value engineering and alternative studies
• Apply relevant codes under supervision
• Follow company QA/QC procedures
• Draft technical notes, design reports, and basis‑of‑design summaries
• Develop and update structural models in analysis tools
• Produce and revise drawings in CAD/BIM platforms
• Assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs, material submittals, and method statement checks
• Participate in site visits and inspections with senior engineers

Structural Engineer

• Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for civil construction projects
• Conduct takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings
• Analyse risk and opportunity across project bids
• Complete site investigations and pre-tender activities using available online resources
• Participate in tender follow-up and award processes
• Obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
• Liaise with subcontractors and assist with onboarding
• Access and manage documentation across various client subcontractor portals
• Monitor industry trends and conduct market and cost benchmarking
• Ensure estimates account for relevant safety and compliance requirements
• Support handover documentation to delivery teams
• Opportunity to contribute to an internal AI-powered estimating tool currently in development
• Help build and refine a system capable of reading drawings and pricing projects rapidly
