Bookkeeper

• Processing purchase and sales invoices, receipts and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining bookkeeping records using Xero.
• Preparing and checking bank reconciliations, ledgers and control accounts.
• Assisting with VAT returns, payroll records and management information as required.
• Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end accounts.
• Monitoring accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments and customer balances.
• Identifying discrepancies, resolving queries and escalating issues where appropriate.
• Liaising professionally with clients, colleagues, suppliers and external advisers.
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance with internal procedures and relevant deadlines.

• Own day-to-day bookkeeping across Xero and Pleo (coding transactions, processing invoices, chasing down vendor context, and ensuring every entry lands in the right place)
• Move bank reconciliations from weekly to daily, working towards a t+1 timeline on the books
• Manage expense categorisation across Pleo, where the bulk of our transaction volume flows through
• Prepare month-end journals and support the close process so the finance team can produce reliable numbers, fast
• Partner closely with our FinOps lead on invoicing and vendor relationships (shadow initially, then run independently)
• Work with external accountants who will support onboarding and review work as you ramp up
• Stay focused on core bookkeeping (revenue recognition, statutory compliance, VAT, and audit sit with senior finance and external accountants)

Bookkeeper, Fractional

• Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
• Processing accounts payable and receivable, including raising and chasing invoices
• Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet items on a regular basis
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements
• Managing payroll processing or liaising with an external payroll provider
• Supporting month-end close procedures and producing management reports
• Maintaining an organised and audit-ready filing system for financial documents
• Liaising with our external accountant as required
• Identifying and flagging any financial discrepancies or process improvements
• Updating financial models e.g. Cash Flow, to ensure reporting is accurate

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Xero.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash transactions.
• Process supplier invoices, ensure accurate coding, and manage payment runs.
• Handle sales invoicing and monitor outstanding receivables.

Part-time Bookkeeper

• Responsible for delivery of client fieldwork on specific projects with a focus on quality and meeting risk management procedures
• Achieves deadlines in relation to project timescales
• Use problem solving skills to work with the project team to solve a number of complex technical matters, including the application of technical accounting
