Billing Specialist

• Assist with company billing and invoicing needs
• Manage the client's billing lifecycle from onboarding to contract termination
• Maintain knowledge and manage the entire accounts receivables (A/R) process
• Track payments, run reports, perform light record keeping and data-entry tasks
• Respond to client emails and interact via phone and video calls
• Take ownership over the accuracy and integrity of all incoming bills and outgoing invoices
• Handle disputed invoices according to established processes

• Process, review and issue a high volume of invoices and credit adjustments ensuring accuracy, timeliness and proper documentation.
• Perform data entry, validation, and reconciliation, including cross-system checks to maintain complete and accurate billing records.
• Execute month-end close activities, including reconciliations across billing and financial systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally (customers, sales, customer service, account managers, and accounting) to ensure accurate subscription billing and proper revenue recognition.
• Manage billing inquiries and escalations via email, phone, Salesforce, and Jira, delivering timely, professional, and solution-oriented resolutions.
• Participate in Australian time zone meetings and contribute to project coordination efforts to proactively improve billing operations and efficiency.
• Utilize financial systems and tools (NetSuite, Onsite, Zuora) to support billing operations and process improvements.

• Support patients with payment processing, billing education, insurance verification, and claims-related inquiries.
• Deliver empathetic, accurate, and compliant service while navigating healthcare billing systems and policies.
• Perform all payment processing and payment plan functions in addition to advanced billing, insurance, and claims support.

Patient Billing Representative

• Ensure strict HIPAA-compliant confidentiality with all client data and claims
• Manage and operate in multiple different billing platforms dependent on client needs which could include Azalea, Tebra, Central Reach and/or Rethink Integrated Billing Module
• Manage assigned client accounts billing scrubs for primary and secondary claims
• Submit claims electronically for primary and secondary payors
• Solve clearinghouse rejections
• Submit corrected claims for billing errors, rebill projects (new plans/new year, new information on payor policies)
• Maintain account spreadsheets, billing cheat sheets, provider, and billing information including provider roster and payer policy billing rules
• Contribute to updates and communicate to Customer Billing Advocate and other members of POD
• Provide internal reporting to team of status and issues for clients within POD
• Meet internal benchmarks for clean claims / first pass rate, unbilled claims, clearinghouse rejections, secondary claims, and denials for billing errors
• Research specific payor billing rules as needed
• Review client billing documentation to ensure claims are submitted based on payor requirements
• Stay informed about Payor and Industry Billing rules
• Foster a positive work environment for team members

• Supervises all Billing personnel on functions necessary for timely daily processing of current billing and secondary charges.
• Responsible to ensure that all charges for all locations are accurately posted in a timely manner, as well as all system edits are corrected and billed out in a timely manner.
• Reviews outstanding charges routinely and communicates to appropriate facility and/or staff members in order to complete the billing process.
• Audits, corrects, and retrains staff as needed to ensure that all billers are up-to-date on the medical billing and payer guidelines.
• Responsible for evaluating the performance of the Billing Department staff members.

Billing Supervisor

• Prepare and distribute finance agreements, bind requests, invoices, and state affidavits
• Conduct policy checks and renewal notifications to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Ensure all required documentation is prepared, received, reviewed, and submitted accurately
• Document and maintain transparency of all transactions within AMS and related systems
• Process high-volume invoicing with precision and efficiency across agency billing workflows
• Create accounts receivable statements and reports using multiple data sources
• Apply incoming payments to customer, broker, and internal accounts
• Process chargebacks, research discrepancies, and document or cancel related policies
• Investigate, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies and payment issues
• Create and distribute intents, notices of cancellation, and write-offs on a regular cadence
• Submit outstanding balances to collections and maintain accurate tracking
• Issue agency billing refunds and reconcile financial payments in accordance with company policy
• Verify financial details on finance agreements and submit to contract processors
• Review and support remittance of carrier payables as needed
• Perform Capital Premium Finance reconciliations and support monthly financial processes
• Maintain and process incoming accounting-related communications and email requests
• Assist with internal and external surplus lines audits by verifying transactions and documentation
• Support Sales teams with service-related items as needed
• Provide backup support for administrative duties, including mail handling and general office coordination
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a strong customer service orientation at all times
• Manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
