Application Engineer

• Act as the primary technical interface to the customer and represent customer-specific technical concerns and interests within MD.
• Prepare and evaluate customer inquiries from a technical perspective.
• Define and specify technical solutions that meet customer requirements and MD standards.
• Represent the customer's technical perspective in MD projects (R&D projects, programs, ramp-ups).
• Maintain and develop the technical interface with the customer, including deepening knowledge of the customer's technical roadmaps and future requirements.
• Support the sales team in acquisition activities and ongoing customer support with your technical expertise.
• Apply your product and process knowledge to ensure technically robust and manufacturable solutions.

• The Field Application Engineer is the technical backbone of the sales process, responsible for ensuring the company’s HDLC and iPDU solutions are accurately selected, configured, and integrated for each customer
• The role-holder works directly with customers’ technical teams to understand requirements and then provides product recommendations, customized configurations, and on-site support to ensure the solutions fit
• Actively support Data Solution regional sales and as required global sales with technical expertise in winning customized and engineered projects for Data Solution - Cooling Solutions (RDC, Inrow, Inrack, and DLC) cabinet and iPDU
• Partner with sales on customers visits to support the close of sales
• Facilitate technical presentations for customers
• Support the technical chat function for our website
• Participate in Trade Shows/Exhibitions as required
• Ensure project kick off alignment meetings are executed properly
• Evaluate customer RFQ´s and create costing/quotes with technical and commercial content
• Check technical feasibility of projects
• Evaluate potential risks (technical and commercial)
• Support sales in price negotiations with customers
• Ensure projects support nVent’s operating income/AOP KPI’s
• Support expanding digital application usage for select, quote and order
• Manage project through prototype phase until serial production
• Check initial orders and compare with quote
• Clarify any changes and open issues
• Create project plan with timelines together with engineering, supply and operations
• Involve Back-End e2E team timely to transfer project for serial production
• Drive team to ensure they coordinate and maintain development schedules including supervising prototyping and testing
• Foster a collaborative team environment with open communication, identifying problems and establishing resolutions

Field Application Engineer – Data Center Solutions

• Collaborate with colleagues and partners to enhance and expedite the Business Group MOS design pipelines across Japan
• Provide expert technical support, develop strong relationships with design engineers, and contribute to marketing initiatives to increase Nexperia's visibility in the market
• Work with existing colleagues (Account Managers, Business Development, FAEs), plus distributors & Sales Reps as appropriate, to increase and accelerate Business Group MOS design pipelines in Japan
• Be an expert on relevant BG MOS products & roadmaps
• Provide tier 2 technical support & training
• Develop trusted relationships with design engineers, directly and through intermediaries
• Highlight customer requirements relating to BG MOS product families; feedback on white-spot / roadmap requests and NPI opportunities; draw attention to competitor activity in the region
• Identify emerging applications & highlight prospective “rising star” customers
• Support Marketing initiatives and represent Nexperia / BG MOS, seeking speaker opportunities to increase visibility in the market
• Promote and utilise Nexperia’s Advanced Support Tools, including models, evaluation systems, technical documentation, etc.
• Create engineering design assistance materials, including application schematics/demo boards/simulations
• Contribute technical content to drive Awareness | Interest | Desire | Action (AIDA) within the design engineering communities of our customers & prospects
