• Prepare weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls using BrightPay software, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Review timesheets for accuracy before uploading to payroll software
• Calculate holiday pay and statutory payments (e.g., sick pay, maternity pay, paternity pay)
• Calculate and process benefits in kind for inclusion in payroll
• Maintain pension contribution records and upload reports to pension providers where required
• Assist with bank transfers for salary payments
• Distribute payslips on or before the payment date
• Submit monthly PAYE returns to Revenue and manage associated payments
• Manage a dedicated portfolio of payroll clients, liaising regularly to ensure excellent service
• Support the delivery of payroll services to a diverse portfolio, including domestic and international clients, ensuring work meets professional standards and agreed timeframes
• Liaise with clients throughout the year to maintain strong relationships
• Assist in proposals for new work and participate in presentations to prospective clients as required
• Conduct reviews and quality checks of payroll processed by junior team members
• Assist with technical queries and support the professional development of junior team members
• Support the payroll manager with team training and development where required
• Remain up to date with Irish payroll legislation to ensure compliance
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
• Assist the Payroll Manager with invoicing and billing processes
• Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct
• Complete ad hoc tasks and assignments relevant to the role

Senior Payroll Specialist

• Collaborate with the outsourced payroll support team and outsourced payroll processors to manage payroll for entities across EMEA
• Maintain robust internal controls and evaluate current work processes to drive process improvements, enhancing efficiencies, accuracy, and ensuring compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements
• Collaborate and manage relationships with internal stakeholders including HR, Benefits and Equity Team, and external partners such as Payroll Service Providers, authorities, and auditors for business initiatives or payroll escalations
• Take ownership of payroll compliance and filings, including responding to ad hoc requests from local statutory authorities and Internal Audit
• Analyze and prepare data analytics for leadership review, and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Manage Salesforce case management for payroll-related inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of issues as necessary
• Manage vendor performance for payroll operations, including monitoring adherence to SLAs, conducting root cause analysis for issues, and driving remediation and resolution strategies
• Stay up-to-date with International payroll regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that payroll practices are in accordance with local laws and regulations
• Support ongoing global/regional finance operations projects as required
• Assist with other operational tasks as assigned by management

Payroll Analyst

• Own the end-to-end global payroll operating model across employees, contractors, EORs, PEOs, and local providers.
• Manage and develop a team of 2–3 direct reports while maintaining execution discipline and high operational standards.
• Lead the operational administration of employee equity in Shareworks, covering grant processing, data updates, and multi-department reconciliation.
• Identify and implement automation workflows to minimize manual data transfers, recurring exceptions, and data friction.
• Partner with HR Technology, IT, and Finance to drive payroll platform consolidations and maximize system reliability.
• Strengthen compliance protocols, payroll controls, and documentation to protect the business from financial exposure and ensure audit readiness.
• Establish clear processing calendars, accountability metrics, and data scorecards to measure function accuracy and capacity gains.
• Step into complex tax, equity, and market-specific payroll challenges to drive swift cross-functional resolution.
