Mechanical Engineer

• Provide technical leadership and expert guidance on mechanical and cooling systems across the EMEA portfolio.
• Develop and maintain mechanical engineering standards, equipment specifications and resilience strategies aligned to STACK operational requirements.
• Support modelling, performance analysis and validation of mechanical and cooling systems.
• Review design and engineering documentation, technical submissions and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with operational and performance requirements.
• Support commissioning, operational acceptance and handover activities for new facilities, expansions and major upgrades.
• Define and assure operational acceptance criteria, testing requirements and documentation standards to support successful transition into live operations.
• Serve as the Authorising Engineer (AE) for Mechanical Safety Rules, ensuring robust governance, safe systems of work and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Support asset lifecycle planning, reliability initiatives and continuous improvement programmes across the portfolio.
• Conduct technical assurance reviews and site audits, identifying opportunities to improve safety, resilience and operational performance.
• Provide technical escalation support during major incidents, supporting high-quality root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve cooling performance, operational efficiency and water utilisation.
• Provide technical oversight of vendors, contractors and service providers, ensuring consistency and quality across facilities.
• Coach and mentor engineers and operational teams, supporting capability development across the EMEA portfolio.
