Legal Assistant

• Provides client management support for attorney, not limited to written and verbal communications with clients along with maintaining docket and client specific procedures.
• Assists attorney in prosecuting patent applications in the United States and various foreign countries.
• Establishes and maintains patent files: opens files, prepares documents for filing including, patent applications, Preliminary Amendments, Information Disclosure Statements, Responses to Missing Parts, Assignments, Amendments, payments of Issue Fees, etc.
• Reviews all incoming correspondence from U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and foreign associates for essential docketing.

Patent Prosecution Legal Assistant – Hybrid

• Support 2–3 trademark attorneys in all aspects of U.S. and international trademark prosecution, TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings, and trademark portfolio management.
• Manage dockets, coordinate client communications, monitor deadlines, and ensure matters progress efficiently.
• Open and close client matters, initiate conflict checks, and maintain accurate client and matter files.
• Prepare prosecution forms, filing estimates, status reports, Office Action reporting emails, and post-registration correspondence.
• Assist attorneys with TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings and draft templates for discovery requests, motions, pleadings, and other TTAB filings.
• Maintain and review trademark docketing systems for accuracy and proactively monitor deadlines.

Trademark Legal Assistant

• Reviews, studies, researches, and annotates laws, court decisions, documents, opinions, briefs, and related legal authorities
• Prepares briefs, legal memoranda, and statements of issues, including appropriate suggestions or recommendations to the judge
• Compiles references on laws and decisions necessary for legal determinations
• Confers with judge concerning legal questions, construction of documents and issuance of orders
• Attends court sessions to hear oral arguments and records necessary case information; maintain records attendant to court proceedings
• Communicates professionally with staff, justice partners, and court users
• Administrative duties as assigned

Law Clerk

• Reviews, studies, researches, and annotates laws, court decisions, documents, opinions, briefs, and related legal authorities.
• Prepares briefs, legal memoranda, and statement of issues involved, including appropriate suggestions or recommendations to the justice or judge.
• Compiles references on laws and decisions necessary for legal determinations.
• Confers with justice, judge, or court official concerning legal questions, construction of documents and granting of orders.
• Attends court sessions to hear oral arguments and records necessary case information; maintain records attendant to court proceedings.
• May perform courtroom duties including calling the calendar; swearing in jury panels and witness; taking court minutes; and assisting in various court proceedings such as arraignments, motions, hearings, pre-trial conferences and trials.
• Administrative duties as assigned.

District Court Law Clerk

• Prepares briefs, legal memoranda, and statement of issues involved, including appropriate suggestions or recommendations to the justice or judge.
