News/Sports Anchor – Part-time

• Deliver exceptional news coverage that informs, includes, and inspires audiences across Minnesota
• Develop sources, research, report and produce daily general news and in-depth stories and program segments for all channels including radio, podcast, digital, and social
• Work on special assignment in Mahnomen County, including mentoring students and developing stories and content for local Native news partners in the area
• Guides coverage of community concerns and solutions in Mahnomen County
• Maintains a wide variety of sources, with an emphasis on Native and Indigenous voices
• Develops and pitches stories for reports, programs, podcasts, and/or digital content, including video and social with a depth and diversity of knowledge
• Delivers voice, sound, and visual rich stories and material with little oversight, including substantive reports on a quick turnaround on varied subjects on a deadline, digital media (including written and visual content for social media and online publication), breaking news, and/or feature stories
• May be assigned to live reports and two-ways, if appropriate

• Conduct complex and detailed abuse and neglect investigations involving persons with disabilities
• Interview witnesses, victims, and other relevant persons regarding allegations of abuse and neglect involving persons with disabilities and document interview responses
• Conduct facilities and congregate living homes inspections regarding allegations of abuse and neglect involving persons with disabilities
• Request, review, and analyze records and other evidence
• Prepare reports and memoranda which detail the investigation, findings and recommendations for further advocacy or investigatory activities
• Participate with other agencies and organizations to address recurring problems and issues regarding abuse and neglect

• Draft clear and concise detailed written documents, including internal memorandum and public reports
