• Review and adjudicate claims in accordance with ACAS claim processing guidelines
• Work closely with other members of the Commercial Services Operations team providing root cause analysis and precise resolution of affected claims
• Ensure the rework project claims are resolved accurately and on time
• Serve as a medical/hospital claim processor for rework projects, compliance, and complex issues

Claim Benefit Specialist

• Handles and processes Benefits claims submitted by healthcare providers

• Diligently implement our business development and pursuit process on high-profile and complex strategic opportunities for the BOU, sector, or Region.
• Collaborate with Growth Leaders, Sectors Leaders, Account Managers, Project Managers, Strategic Pursuits team in developing distinctive value propositions and win themes that clearly differentiate Stantec.
• Collaborate with teaming partners and subconsultants to develop qualifications that will position Stantec’s team for success.
• Lead pursuit team in key pre-RFP qualifying activities, such as client, competitor, and market research; identifying and tracking top client capital plans.
• Actively work with pursuit team to develop and implement pursuit-specific capture plans such as documenting due diligence in project brief, developing win plan, conducting SWOT analysis, preparing an executive summary, conducting preliminary go/no go and strategy review, and identifying the execution team.
• Plan, organize, and direct all elements of the proposal including analyzing the client request, developing a response plan, initiating follow-up go/no go, facilitating strategy review, conducting kick-off meeting, managing and contributing to response sections, lead in-progress reviews, prepare red team review package, incorporate red team input, schedule pricing reviews, and ensure on-time response delivery.
• Lead and organize interview preparation (in-person or virtual) to deliver winning presentations and effectively communicate our proposal story.
• Create and modify existing materials and write content to effectively communicate services, capabilities and market-specific messages.
• Early involvement in the client pursuit process to develop an overall action plan that includes due diligence, profiles of decision-makers and influencers, competitor analysis, project-specific win plan (client issues, features, benefits, and proof statements), strategic teaming plan, and spearhead the preliminary go/no go and strategy review.
• Leverage Stantec’s company wide network to identify and showcase unique capabilities and resources, collaborating with the pursuit team to develop innovative solutions that address client challenges and create a distinctive competitive advantage.
• Support account managers and sector leaders in developing pursuit-specific client engagement strategies and messaging.
• Ensure pursuit strategies and materials align with corporate brand standards, messaging, and positioning.
• Partner with marketing, communications, and public relations teams to support thought leadership, award submissions, and high-visibility marketing initiatives tied to strategic pursuits.
• Leverage firmwide networks to identify expertise, innovations, and differentiators that strengthen pursuit narratives.
• Display creativity in applying graphics (such as photos, graphs, charts, etc.) to improve communication in written documents and provide direction to the graphic design team as needed.
• Ensure all pursuit documents comply with our corporate branding guidelines and client confidentiality requirements.
• Track and evaluate pursuit performance, including win/loss outcomes, trends, and lessons learned.
• Lead or support post-pursuit debriefs and apply insights to improve future pursuit strategies and outcomes.
• Work with pursuit team to regularly monitor pursuit spending and report and address any significant variances.
• Share promotional materials, information, knowledge, and best practices with other Pursuits and Marketing team members.

Pursuit Manager, Federal

• Deliver outstanding customer service through accurate transaction processing, thoughtful account maintenance support, and timely resolution of discrepancies or disputes.
• Monitor online deposit accounts by reviewing documentation and account activity for potential fraud while ensuring compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct deposit reviews and audits, analyze data and produce clear, actionable reports.
• Perform third-party vendor due diligence to ensure partners meet our standards for security, compliance, and reliability.
• Act as a bridge between teams, collaborating with the Contact Center and internal departments to resolve issues and streamline communication.
• Keep policies current through ongoing updates to account disclosures and bank procedures to align with evolving laws and regulations.

Deposit Specialist

• Review and complete provider-solicited and unsolicited overpayment refunds and returned checks
• Research, resolve, and adjudicate complex, sensitive, and/or specialized medical claims in accordance with claims-processing guidelines
• Partner with key business functions, ensure accurate posting of overpayment refunds, reconcile discrepancies, and respond to internal and provider inquiries
• Process complex, non-routine provider refunds and returned checks
• Review and interpret contract language to validate overpayments and allocate refund checks appropriately
• Apply medical necessity guidelines, determine coverage, complete eligibility verification, identify discrepancies, and apply cost-containment measures to support claim adjudication
• Ensure compliance requirements are met and that payments/refunds follow company practices and procedures
• Perform claim rework calculations and adjustments across all dollar amounts for unsolicited overpayment refunds
• Follow through to completion on medical claim overpayments, underpayments, and other irregularities
• Respond to telephone and/or written inquiries related to pre-approvals/pre-authorizations, reconsiderations, and appeals
• Review assigned claims data mining work that may result in claim adjustments and complete resulting adjustments as appropriate
• Process medical claim adjustments on customer service platforms using technical and claims-processing expertise
• Provide overpayment refund training, mentoring, and job shadowing support for less experienced colleagues, as assigned
• Use available resource materials and tools to manage job responsibilities
• Handle customer service inquiries and issues assigned

Senior Claims Benefit Specialist – Checkwork/Refund

• Responsible for overall planning, management, and completion of IT projects for specific business units.
• Uses project management skills to assign roles, identify resource requirements, and define project deliverables.
