Frontend Engineer

• Ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of our applications’ backend services through production support, maintenance, and continuous improvement using Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.)
• Own investigation and resolution of complex production issues impacting customers
• Debug and resolve backend issues across Java services, APIs, and databases
• Deliver high-quality fixes via maintenance and patch releases
• Collaborate with customer support to triage, reproduce, and resolve escalated tickets
• Improve application observability using logging, monitoring, and metrics
• Reduce technical debt and improve system stability and performance
• Review code and mentor less-experienced engineers
• Improve tooling, documentation, and operational processes

Web Developer

• The Lead Web Front-end Engineer is responsible for building and evolving Sedgwick’s enterprise web content management system with a primary focus on theme architecture, reusable components, accessibility, and performance
• Develops and manages the web content management system theme architecture, block systems, and component library
• Develops and maintains reusable, standards-based components that support campaign landing pages, evergreen content, and international content
• Ensures front-end implementations scale cleanly as content volume increases
• Partners closely with UX/UI designers to bring page designs to life
• Builds front end experiences that meet Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse performance targets
• Optimizes rendering, image handling, script loading, and layout stability
• Ensures compliance with all frontend work meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards
• Collaborates with Web Producers to ensure components are easy to use, hard to misuse, and consistent with brand and UX standards

Lead Web Front-end Engineer

• Design, implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products with enterprise-scale Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Work as part of cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with software engineers, UX designers, project managers, strategists, and analysts
• Solve problems with technology to build great software
• Champion software engineering best practices in development and delivery

Sitecore Certified Web Developer

• Build performant, maintainable, and accessible UIs using React + TypeScript, ensuring responsiveness and usability across devices and user roles
• Design and maintain scalable component libraries and design system integrations within an Nx monorepo
• Implement robust state management patterns (Zustand, Redux Toolkit, React Query) and integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Partner with backend engineers, UX designers, and product managers to translate requirements into production-grade frontend features
• Participate in code reviews, uphold frontend engineering standards, and contribute to shared tooling and documentation
• Contribute to improving frontend workflows, tooling, and CI/CD integrations (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Evaluate and integrate emerging tools such as GitHub Copilot, AI-powered UI components, and modern frontend frameworks
