Financial Crime

• Analyze alerts, investigate potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions risks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. and international regulatory requirements, including OFAC, BSA/AML, and related global sanctions regimes.
• Provide independent Second Line of Defense compliance advice, support, and oversight to the US business units.
• Review and investigate AML and sanctions alerts generated through screening systems.
• File Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with FinCEN, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
• Prepare and submit OFAC Blocked Property and Rejected Transaction Reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and emerging financial crime risks.
• Assist with enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews of new and existing clients.
• Provide ongoing support to Compliance teams and cross‑functional workstreams.

Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions Analyst

• The FIU AML Risk Investigator (Investigator) serves as a subject matter expert performing a wide range of functions with a high level of difficulty and complexity into money laundering and financial crimes typologies, unusual activity, initial onboarding due diligence and ongoing periodic risk analysis.
• Conduct end-to-end reviews on higher risk customers including but not limited to periodic risk analysis, AML investigations, and suspicious activity reporting related to BSA/AML and Fraud.
• Utilizes a variety of analytical techniques, which may include internal or external software systems, to make informed decisions concerning customer account transaction activity, account balances, and account status.
• Ensures suspicious or unusual transactions are appropriately identified, documented, and managed in accordance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Partners with lines of business (LsOB) or individual account officers for additional information as needed.
• Manage and navigate complex investigations Managing assignments to ensure work is completed in adherence to deadlines and quality expectations.

• Maintain a strong understanding of factors contributing to AML Risks.
• Identify gaps and make procedural recommendations to strengthen the integrity of the BSA/AML Program specific to risk investigations.
• Review customers’ suitability for products and regulatory exemptions to provide recommendation to management.
• Making recommendations for exiting relationships based on AML risks, following-up to ensure closures are performed as directed.
• Assist FIU Management with tracking metrics on a quarterly basis, identifying and escalating concerns upon review.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

AML BSA Risk Investigator

• Conduct routine surveillance reviews to identify unusual market activity
• Assist with analyzing trading activity for indications of potential violations
• Draft summaries of internal updates regarding rules, regulations, guidelines, intelligence, and advisories
• Assist with projects for testing and developing new analytics, surveillance tools, or processes
• Present investigative findings to management in an organized, concise, and timely fashion
• Follow the process for the documentation of review steps and results

Senior Analyst, Fraud Detection

• Conducting routine surveillance reviews of moderate to high complexity to identify unusual market activity
• Analyzing trading activity for indications of potential violations
• Researching and providing internal updates regarding rules, regulations, guidelines, intelligences, and advisories
• Completing assigned tasks for testing and developing new analytics, surveillance tools or processes that detect and deter fraudulent activity
• Preparing well-organized, detailed, and accurate reports
• Completing documentation of review steps and results
• Demonstrating subject matter expertise and coaching/train colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities
• Working on routine projects with the assistance of management
• Participating in initiatives across Surveillance
