Electrical Engineer

• Assist with testing and validation of GUI software and automated test equipment
• Support production-related electrical testing and troubleshooting
• Help document test procedures and results
• Work with engineering staff on hardware and software integration tasks
• Perform basic circuit testing and debugging activities

Electrical Engineer Intern

• Develop and refine electrical systems for autonomous marine vehicles and buoys, including power distribution, signal processing, and safety systems
• Collaborate with the Technology & Innovation team to design and implement innovative electrical solutions that enhance the functionality and performance of OPT products
• Engage in electrical systems diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Assist in the design and development of electrical prototypes, including wiring, connectors, and control systems, tailored to marine environments
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of electrical documentation, such as schematics, datasheets, and operation manuals
• Provide support in identifying and resolving electrical issues in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

• Support electrical engineering activities across EMALS and/or AAG systems including design, troubleshooting, maintenance, and system improvement efforts
• Work with development, system engineering, and production teams to accurately identify, characterize, resolve, document, address, and track electrical deficiencies
• Power factor analysis and correction
• Harmonic modeling and analysis
• Grounding analysis
• Short-circuit investigations
• Arc-flash studies
• Contribute to technical presentations, electrical work products, requirements, designs, and written communications
• Create, review, and execute hardware design documentation
• Create, develop, review, and interpret engineering drawings of complex parts and systems
• Research and develop product specifications and interface requirements
• Resolve complex electrical compatibility and interface design issues
• Evaluate components to determine electrical performance impacts
• Communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions clearly and effectively
• Interact with customers to gather critical information and review engineering plans
• Occasionally support in-service teams on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects

Junior Electrical Engineer

• Uses senior-level technical expertise to consider broad range of engineering solutions.
• Responsible for the discipline-specific planning, work distribution, and leadership.
• Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Coordinates technical aspects of the project with client counterpart and teaming partners.
