Designer

• Support visioning and concept development projects, assisting with user research, analysis and synthesis, concept ideation, prototyping and testing, and implementation planning.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of components integral to communicating our work, e.g., service blueprints, low- and mid-fidelity prototypes, frameworks, concept illustrations, slides.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product teams, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless integration between digital tools and offline touchpoints.
• Demonstrate ability to listen and to thoughtfully contribute to business stakeholder and channel partner team conversations, strengthening our ability to deliver through cross-enterprise collaboration.
• Stay informed about industry trends in health insurance, digital health, and service design best practices.

Service Designer

• Designs, coordinates plotting and mapping and determines fiber node placement requirements for hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) and fiber optic networks.
• Prepares and supports detailed engineering and design drawing files using CAD or other spatial or Geographic Information software platforms.
• Works with Technical Operations, Construction and Engineering to facilitate design / engineering services.
• Provides design support within a defined area or region.
• Updates As-Builts as construction is completed and releases the area.
• Performs base drafting.
• Creates accurate network maps and detailed electronic construction prints.
• Prepares layouts, drawings and designs according to engineering specifications.
• Makes design decisions regarding construction and safety methods according to appropriate Cable One, FCC, OSHA, NEC, NESC, VDOT, BOCA, Land Use Manual, and local, state and federal regulations and procedures.
• May be responsible for creation of design permitting for state agencies.
• May perform quality checks of mapping and network design and negotiate / approve design and/or construction changes.
• May estimate material and labor costs for special projects for fiber and coax up to the patch panel or customer premise.
• May be responsible for fiber availability and ring capacity checks and determination of reinforcement requirements.
• May coordinate project planning and site surveys with sales personnel, utility companies, commercial building engineers, contractors, utility locators, state and county representatives and company crews as necessary to include designing service to new and existing residential properties and commercial facilities.

CAD Designer I

• Designs residential roof and floor systems and produces layouts
• Discuss changes and corrections with engineers, architects, and contractors prior to and during construction
• Presents, sells and follows-up on new jobs
• Prepares roof truss and truss joist floor layouts
• Performs job site inspections
• Produces materials list
• Determines special notes to append contracts
• Resolves architectural and design discrepancies
• Assists in the shipping department
• Read and understand blueprints and detailed technical drawings
• Use computer or other technical equipment to provide layout of customer order
• Adhere to local building codes when developing material list and design layout

Truss Designer

• Define and lead service design strategy across enterprise initiatives, connecting member needs to operational capabilities.
• Create service blueprints, journey maps, and ecosystem models that bridge frontstage and backstage experiences, end-to-end.
• Facilitate alignment across teams and business partners to deliver coherent, multi-touchpoint services.
• Mentor designers, evolve service design methods, and contribute to the growth of Humana's design culture.
• Define success metrics and lead post-launch evaluations to ensure services deliver measurable value.
• Collaborate with process and operational teams to ensure services are deliverable, scalable, and grounded in real-world constraints.
• Use compelling narratives and visual frameworks to build empathy, drive decisions, and influence senior stakeholders.

Principal Service Designer

• Develop and maintain 3D models using Revit software
• Generate 2D drawings and construction plans for commercial projects, including but not limited to permit set plans and 3D models
• Coordinate drawings across trades (MEP, structural, civil) to avoid conflicts
• Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Ensure drawings comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA requirements
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation in company systems
• Participate in project coordination meetings as needed
• Other duties as assigned
