Business Intelligence Developer

• Business Partnership & Translation: Partner closely with business stakeholders to capture data requirements and business questions, translating them into effective, data-driven Power BI reports and interactive dashboards.
• Insight Generation & Visualization: Design and develop reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards that encourage user self-sufficiency, deliver actionable insights, and adhere to modern UI/UX best practices.
• Advanced Development: Apply expertise in Power BI development to create cutting-edge visualizations, carefully crafted reports, and performance-driven scorecards using interactive and advanced techniques.
• Data Integration & Quality: Perform Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) operations, integrating data from disparate sources while ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data used for reporting.
• Data Shaping: Utilize Power Query to efficiently shape, clean, and transform raw, complex datasets into optimal, usable data models.
• Database Optimization: Leverage SQL Server expertise to design, optimize, and maintain underlying database structures, ensuring efficient data storage and rapid retrieval for reporting.
• Performance Tuning: Proactively monitor and enhance the performance of Power BI solutions by optimizing queries, managing data refresh schedules, and continually improving the overall user experience.

Middle Data Analyst / BI Developer

• Own the performance measurement infrastructure at Ideals for the long term and become the company's foremost expert on how business performance is measured, tracked, and improved
• Create and improve scorecards, dashboards, and reporting views in Google Sheets and other available tools
• Work with large and complex datasets, validate calculations, identify inconsistencies, and troubleshoot data quality issues
• Translate business measurement needs into structured logic, reporting requirements, and scalable tracking solutions
• Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand metrics, performance drivers, and reporting expectations
• Collaborate with stakeholders, BI, data, and technical teams on data sourcing, querying, and integration topics
• Continuously improve how KPIs are tracked, reported, and interpreted across the organization
• Use analytical thinking and sound judgment to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities in performance data
• Apply AI tools thoughtfully to improve workflows and outputs, while validating quality and minimizing risk
