Billing Specialist

• Coordinates and facilitates patient billing and collection activities
• Processes payments, adjustments, claims, correspondence, refunds, denials, financial/charity applications
• Researches payments, denials, and accounts
• Builds strong working relationships with assigned business units

PFS Representative, CBO Billing, Follow-up, Denials Management

• Provide day-to-day support for business unit customers and vendors through the procure-to-pay process
• Seek process improvement efficiencies and understand corporate structures, business contacts, and stakeholders
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
• Track receipt of data and source documents
• Prepare and sort source documents and interpret data to be entered
• Contact preparers of source document to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data
• Maintain accurate and complete client files/filing
• Perform data entry in the Accounts Payable/Account Receivable System from source documents
• Confirm accuracy of data and make necessary corrections
• Contribute to team efforts to achieve results
