• Build and maintain end-to-end data ingestion and ETL pipelines
• Ingest structured and unstructured data from APIs, Snowflake, Oracle, documents, and market data providers
• Develop production-quality Python services and data workflows
• Orchestrate pipelines using Kubernetes and workflow tools
• Apply clean architecture and strong engineering design patterns
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and security
• Design schemas and transformation layers for analytics and AI agents
• Prepare data for AI and RAG systems (chunking, embeddings, retrieval pipelines)

Senior Data Engineer, Python

• Build and maintain data pipelines and processing workflows for geolocation datasets at scale
• Work with analytical and relational databases (e.g. ClickHouse, PostgreSQL) - schema design, query optimisation, and integration patterns
• Design and develop backend microservices with FastAPI, integrated into a broader event-driven architecture
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers in a cross-functional setup - contributing to product decisions, not just implementation
• Write clean, production-grade Python with attention to code quality, testability, and maintainability
• Use AI-assisted tools actively throughout your daily workflow and contribute to building AI agents and multi-agent systems that cut the time it takes our users to reach critical insights

Backend Engineer – Wallets

• Build and ship internal Go microservices for the analytics and data pipeline
• Implement event-driven handlers using NATS JetStream as part of Sarwa’s messaging infrastructure
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas for new product features
• Write integration tests and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning with the backend team
• Collaborate with product, operations, and frontend teams to understand requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions
• Continuously learn and apply new practices, and share those learnings with the team
