Backend Engineer

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks across bug fixing, feature development, refactoring, and testing
• Write clear natural-language specifications and reference implementations
• Develop and extend unit and integration test suites
• Review peer-generated tasks for correctness, clarity, and realism
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes
• Ensure alignment between specifications, code, and expected outputs

Python Developer

• Translate technical requirements into detailed backend designs that creates tier 1 scalable systems and a joyful experience for the customer.
• Be responsible for driving innovation, maintainability, improving performance, scalability, and creating headless systems under strict timelines.
• Lead backend engineering and solve complex problems such as: Ensuring optimal schema design, 100% uptime and high-end security.
• Credit scoring system → what’s the best way to gamify the credit scoring experience for our customers while ensuring a high ROI on lending bets?
• Invoice matching algorithm → what’s the optimal way to match invoices to deposits accurately at scale when we lack information?
• Payment orchestration → how can we best optimise our payment orchestration to lower our costs and increase our margins?
• Analytics system → how can we set up an analytics system that tracks all relevant numbers?
• Integrate our technology with the following external systems: Payment processors like Stripe. Open banking platforms like Plaid. Accounting systems like QuickBooks and Economic -> Bonus points for submitting your application with GitHub links to applications you have developed

Founding Backend Engineer

• Work with clients on short to medium-term customer engagements on their big data challenges using the Databricks platform
• Provide data engineering, data science, and cloud technology projects which require integrating with client systems, training, and other technical tasks to help customers to get most value out of their data
• Work on a variety of impactful customer technical projects which may include designing and building reference architectures, creating how-to's and productionalizing customer use cases
• Guide strategic customers as they implement transformational big data projects, 3rd party migrations, including end-to-end design, build and deployment of industry-leading big data and AI applications
• Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects which leads to a customers' successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of Databricks.
• Provide an escalated level of support for customer operational issues.
• Work with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect and Customer team to ensure the technical components of the engagement are delivered to meet customer's needs.
• Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and to guide rapid resolution for engagement specific product and support issues.

• Develop, test and validate trading strategies
• Contribute to the creative process of designing new algorithmic trading concepts
• Build and maintain the bespoke algorithmic trading platform
• Support the full workflow from research to live trading
