Senior Backend Engineer

• Develop and maintain modules of the company’s custom-built CMS and backend systems supporting our websites.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations with third-party systems and databases.
• Lead, mentor, and support the Back-end Web Development team through technical guidance, coaching, and performance management.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while conducting code reviews and promoting best practices in development.
• Collaborate with Front-end Developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable web solutions.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and modern workflows that improve code quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Back-End Web Development Team Lead

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Laravel (PHP) and Vue.js
• Contribute to software architecture decisions and long-term technical strategy
• Build and optimise distributed systems, queue-based architectures, and event-driven solutions
• Work with Kafka and asynchronous processing systems to improve platform scalability and reliability
• Improve system performance, stability, monitoring, and scalability across the platform
• Collaborate with DevOps Engineers, Senior Developers, and technical leadership on infrastructure and engineering initiatives
• Participate in hands-on development while supporting technical direction and engineering standards
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and provide mentorship to development teams
• Work within containerised and cloud-native environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Support continuous improvement of engineering practices, development workflows, and technical scalability

Senior Backend Engineer – Architecture, Distributed Systems

• Lead the development of scalable IAM systems using Python and Django and related frameworks adhering to best practices and architectural standards.
• Design and implement asynchronous APIs and workflows using AsyncAPI, Celery, and message brokers like RabbitMQ.
• Build integrations with external systems.
• Design and optimize relational for identity data, ensuring performance, consistency, and security.
• Develop secure, RESTful, and event-driven APIs for authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.
• Ensure the security and compliance of IAM systems by implementing best practices and adhering to industry standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to improving the team's coding standards.
• Work closely with DevOps, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless and secure IAM solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all IAM processes, configurations, and integrations.
