Advanced Practice Provider

• Provide comprehensive direct care and assume primary clinical management for a diverse patient population in an ambulatory infusion setting.
• Act as a critical clinical conduit, bridging communication between the patient’s primary care team and the infusion nursing staff.
• Serve as the frontline responder for infusion-related emergencies, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care quality.
• Obtain detailed patient histories, perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Rapidly assess and manage infusion-related emergencies, including allergic and adverse reactions.
• Direct and participate in case management and continuing care.
• Collaborate, consult, and refer patients to department attending physicians, specialists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Access chest ports for specialized procedures, including intraventricular infusions for patients with Batten’s disease.
• Contribute to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement (QI) projects.
• Participate in clinical research and educational initiatives for patients, families, and the healthcare team.
